Every A Level Physics student has to complete a set list of practical experiments, and there's more than one way to carry out each of them. Running the same version every year is the quickest route to students following a method sheet without thinking about what they're doing or why.

This session looks at alternative methods for the standard required practicals and what each version teaches, ways to make delivery more interesting without adding to your preparation time, the underlying skills the practical endorsement is actually assessing, and how to get students thinking about method, uncertainty and error rather than working through a sheet.

It's for specialist and out of field teachers, and technicians are welcome.
